quick wipw, again...

busy, busy, busy so here are the pics

here's the entire dark set & i only have 7 all the way.  so that makes 34 (i think) of the 88 all the way ready to be hooked together.  still a lot of work but can't wait for the finished product!  friday i will hopefully have more & show you all the finished squares i have.

this is where i'm at on hopp's poncho.  i started on the 13th row & that is the last row before i do the shell edging which will add lots more length to it.  this is her bday present & it really a quick one but i keep running out of yarn because it's not regular worsted yarn so there's not as much as a normal skein.  i'm using michael's loops & threads charisma in the dark purple (not for sure of the exact name) but hopp picked out the color she just doesn't know what it's for.  :o)  i love this yarn!  it's so super soft & works up really fast because it's bulky yarn & looks so cute in my bear hats.

last night was the pilot episode of american horror story on fx.  when they first started showing previews to the show i was like, what the hell!  then they started showing better previews & i couldn't wait to watch.  i was skeptical that it would be cheesy but with creators behind glee (not a fan) & nip/tuck (super fan) i was hoping for greatness!  i was right but it's not for everyone!  if you are a horror fan & you don't mind seeing man-ass you will love the show.  it's really weird & i'm not for sure, other than the family, who is real & what the non-real people are.  let me just say on the whole man-ass comment, if you love Dylan McDermott, you should watch, he shows his ass at least 2-3x during the pilot.  he's not my cup of tea, he really needs a tan.

any new shows you are a huge fan of?  i'm loving new girl, it's such a refreshing comedy.  i love zooey d. (not for sure how to spell her name but she was in my fave xmas movie, elf)

hopefully i will have an fof tomorrow.  i have been slacking on the crochet updates!  :(  but i have started on hopp's poncho. 



this is round 4, i think i got all the way to round 6 before i ran out of yarn, going to use my 50% off michaels coupon tomorrow!  :)

i'm hoping to have this done by this weekend.  we are having her party next friday, can't wait, i have lots of plans...

another resolution

i have been thinking about this winter & i hear rumors that it's going to be unusually warm, makes sense, it's been so hella hot!  so i was thinking jackets & stuff & i thought about making hopp a poncho.  omg, she is going to be so cute in a little poncho & should be pretty easy with buckling up in the car so this is one of my 2011 resolutions, to make a poncho!  i can't wait to start on it.  i found one i like, on ravelry of course.  i can't wait to get started on it.  also, i found inner hooker (through the dainty daisy) & i'm going to do a crochet-along for a sunburst granny blanket!!!  so excited!!!  if you want to participate go to her facebook page.

most people have a year of projects but i call it my 2011 resolutions.  i don't feel so obligated to do a list of projects as i do resolutions because i post them as i find them.  i think next year i will make a yop, i don't know though, i'm a spur-of-moment type girl.  :)
