saw this the other day & it made me laugh.  i know some people that were much happier "shacked up" & were together longer that way.  they got married & then they got divorced.  not for sure what changed but i don't see anything wrong with shacking up.  just my personal opinion though.

day 221: sat 8/11

took this while all the girls were helping out with q's car wash fundraiser.  we even got hopp to participate.  she was a pretty good wheel/rim scrubber.  :)

after the fundraiser we went home & ate & got ready for q's first salon hair cut.  this is not her first hair cut but her first true salon cut.  she thought she was so big.  the lady did a great job & i think it's quite a bit shorter but what matters is that q is ok with it.  she says she can't tell a difference but i sure can.  we cut about 3-4" of dead hair off the bottom. :o)

366 days of photos weeks 13, 14 & 15!!!

wow...  i can't believe i've gotten this far behind!!!  ok, well here's 3 weeks wrapped into one...

WEEK 13
day 85: sun 3/25

barbie hair, i have to confess, we had lice & i found out that if you occasionally flat iron hair it kills the eggs & lice if you have them.  i also found several ways to combat them from getting in your hair in the first place.  apparently if you soak hair in listerine that kills the lice & also if you add in the listerine to your water bottle it deters lice from coming back.  so far so good, we have been free & clear of lice for almost 3 weeks.  hopefully we will stay away from the lice from now on with our deterents.  any other helpful advice is welcomed.  :o)

day 86: mon 3/26

surprising the barbie hair stayed so she felt extra special with her hair this way!  she doesn't look the same with straight hair but i don't mind doing this on occasion just to make her feel special.  :o)

day 87: tues 3/27

at jump rope practice this day & it was windy so i looked up & took a pic of the flags, i love this one!

day 88: wed 3/28

got my painting up, it looks nice, well as nice as it can look with all those damn plugs behind me.  ;o)

day 89: thurs 3/29

i love pouty pictures!  look at that tear on her cheek :(  i think this was one of the times at jump rope practice that she was throwing a fit & i told her no so we had to leave the gym & sit in the lobby.  isn't this precious?!?  :o)

day 90: fri 3/30

i totally forgot about this pic, so glad i take random pics.  :)  q lined up some of her toys.  from left to right, sparkles, pinky-pie, not for sure the cat's name, a bunny that hopp got for her bday & the lady bug flashlight :o)

koi fish at the local chinese place.

first time for q to see the koi fish.  i love this pic, she is just watching them swim.  so sweet, love these moments!!!

WEEK 14!

day 92: sun 4/1

took this right after midnight, she loves her sleep overs!  :o)

not a hair post but look at those shoes!  they are fab-u-lous!  plus she dressed them up with rainbow socks & a tutu & a pink puppy tee!  she was too excited over this outfit & she did it all herself.  :o)

of course hopp had to get her pic taken too, some days she won't but this day she was photogenic.  :o)  she looks so cute in this orange dress & those aqua flip flops :o)

day 94: tues 4/3

saw this on pinterest & bought it.  you can find them on etsy.  i can't remember the shop name but it's under my hooker board.  :o)

easter sunday & this is what the easter bunny left the girls.  rapunzel & cinderella bubbles for the littles & a hunger games katniss poster for jess.  some gum & a new skip bo jr card game & some assorted boxed candy.  :o)

day 100: tues 4/9 no pic...

omg, how sweet is this pic?!?  i can give her little side pony tails & a headband keeps the top strays away. :o)

q likes to get her picture taken too but hopp was saying don't take my picture, oops, too late!  ;)

barbie hair & a fundraiser

so when i was little i had SUPER straight hair.  i'm talking straight as a board hair!  i hated it, it tangled so badly & would cry EVERYTIME my mom would brush my hair!  well i had a friend named hayley & she had SUPER curly hair!  ohhhhh i dreamed of having curly hair, i wanted hair just like hayley's beautiful curls & apparently she wanted my straight hair.  :)  it reminds me of my lil q, she has super curly hair & wants 'barbie' hair all the time!  she asks me all the time, i have only straightened her hair one time!  it was so pretty & long but she looked so mature!  it was weird, she looked so different.  so last night as i was giving her a shower she asked about 'barbie' hair.  i thought about it & sure why not, i have time right?  it's one of those things she will always remember, just like i remember my mom braiding my hair for me or my nana putting my hair in sponge rollers.  :)  so just because, i straightened her hair last night.  :)

well when she woke up, i guess she got sweaty in the middle of the night & the underside & parts of the top were curly again.  i only blow-dried her hair & touched it up with a straightener on low temp last night.  so i touched it up & put a little clip on the top to keep it out of her eyes this morning.  she is so proud of her 'barbie' hair but i miss the curly headed girl, luckily when i wash it, it will curl right back up.  :)

i think she was watching hopp to make sure she didn't get in the shot!  just q & the barbie hair allowed :)

now, i'm thinking of starting a new blog just for my fundraiser.  i don't have exact dates yet but it's usually the 3rd tuesday or thursday of october, it's going to be for the annual bunco for breast cancer for the vera west women's center here in abilene.  i love playing but i don't get to play every year.  so this year i'm going to put up my wares & do special orders for my ticket & maybe even pay for some lucky player's seats.  :)  if it goes better than i expect i'm going to pay for grand prize tickets.  i'm even going to put all the buyers in a 'hat' & draw a name & if they win they can have $25 worth of anything they want from me.  more info to come & will post a link to my fundraiser blog.  :)
