my sweet pea made the cutest flag ever in remembrance of 9/11.  i'm going to frame it & put it up!  NEVER FORGET!!!!

it's been awhile since i've done a hair post.  i did their hair the same way.  look how cute they are!!!

a finished scarf for ms maria, jess's friend.  it was just a simple dc scarf but in extra long.

birthday shout out!!!  this was jess's 18th bday!!!  yep, that's right my baby girl is of legal age, i can't believe it, where have all the years gone???   made this bow from a secret deodorant ad, got the tutorial from bffmrt, a great way to recycle & it's super easy to do.  on that note, a secret deodorant ad has never looked so good!  ;)

day 256: 9/15 sat

look at this precious baby!!!  his name is baylor & isn't he gorgeous?!?  his mommy is a previous co-worker friend from back in the phone book days.  that hat he is wearing was one of my fo's.  i can't get over how gorgeous he is, tawners makes some beautiful babies.  :o)

it rained & this was on my sidewalk.  i thought it was so pretty!  just a plain old leaf that fell off a tree, what a nice little piece of art.  :)

well that's all for week 37, a couple more weeks to catch up on.  i hope all of you have been doing well, i've missed you all, i haven't even caught up on my fave blogs either.  it's been so hectic!

i finally found their day bed at a garage sale for $35!!!  can you believe it?  they are now sleeping better & a little longer.  it's not fancy but hey, i'm not complaining!!!

day 146: mon 5/28

it was memorial day & i posted this pic on fb.  it's my neighbor that has the gorgeous yard.  he always flies his flag on important days.  we use to but our flag pole bracket came off the house & our american flag is in bad condition

my glitter nails.  i used the wet n wild brand.  they turned out so pretty!



look how cute, it's a super tiny little mushroom on my dilapidated fence.  i've never seen them before.  not for sure how i saw them in the first place but i love it!  there are several along the fence but i got a really good pic of this one.

i did the girls nails to match my glitter nails.  they maybe lasted to morning the next day but it made them happy & i can't pass up a happy girl moment!!!  :o)

day 149: thurs 5/31

did hopp's hair this morning.  she asked for a braid so we did the mini braid.  it's hard to see on her hair because she is dark headed but it was so cute & she was happy.  :o)

we started going to a play date group on saturdays, this was our first one.  the girls had a blast!  we love saturday mornings now!  :o)

this week we had mother's day festivities, nails & a class gift project, so here we go...

day 133: mon 5/14

i hit the jackpot at heb the other day & got both of these colors of polish for only $1!!!  they are made by wet n wild & are a part of the wild shine collection.  the blue is called blue moon & has the prettiest shade of deep royal with a hint of green in it & the glitter is called kaleidoscope.  it isn't blue but i put 2 layers on top of 1 layer of the blue.  i just did the ring finger in glitter & it turned out so pretty.  yes, claudia, it's my glitter accent nail i talked about on pinterest one day.  :o)

hopp was being such a good girl at the shoe store in the mall that i let her ride one of the cars right outside the shoe store.  :o)  she was the happiest little girl in the world right at that moment, these are the moments that i wanted to record & why i started this blog.  look at that sweet face, could she smile any bigger?!?

day 136: thurs 5/17 no pic again...


day 137: fri 5/18

it's field day at school, i did her hair in a mini braid & then added the long braid to the big pony.  :o)



look at that stance!  she is getting so big!!!  i think that is her fave shirt, kitty with headphones & it's sparkly.  :)

after field day & then lunch they had their awards ceremony.  she had really cute little awards for each kiddo that was a different candy bar.  q got the "milky way" award.  she loved it & i guess had never had a milky way.  she loved it so much she said she wants a milky way everyday!  yeah right!!!  ;)

q wanted to give everyone a thank you card in her class for being her friend but i came up with friendship bracelets (of course the idea came from pinterest, here's the site for my idea), i will post all of them in week 21 but we started working on them friday evening.  i found an easy 5-strand braid & she caught on really quickly.  this was the first one she did all by herself!

day 138: sat 5/19

after going to a crazy i just happen to see in the paper's listings for a daybed, a wooden one at that, that i have been waiting for, for over a month or two, & it was only $35 for the day bed & the trundle!!!!!  ok, i'm done rambling, we headed to the park.  it was early so it was beautiful with the sun out & the air had a crisp chill to it.  i say perfect morning!  i love this pic of hopp's hair with sunlight caught in it.  what a little angel!!!

q & i finally talked hopp off the swings, it's all she wants to do anymore at the park!  i caught them coming down, i slowed them down just enough to catch this pic, look at the happiness on q's face.  omg, she loves her sisters!!!

and slow enough to catch this one too.  love those cheesy little smiles!!!  yep that's morning hair, didn't even take the time to really fix their hair, but who cares?  not me, saturdays are for fun not fussing with hair!!!  :o)

now that i'm caught up maybe i can get next weeks in time.  :o)  have a great week & 3 day weekend, & don't forget to thank a veteran or active service man/woman for all they have & will be doing for us!!!

i only missed 1 day this week!!!  i think i'm getting the hang of this picture taking thingy.  :o)  this week is mostly about hopp, guess i will have to get q & jess in here more often.

pouty picture, i told her we couldn't do swings, baby swings that was, then decided we would try the big swings.  she did really go all by herself on the big swings.  :o)  love that pouty face!!!

gnome display at hobb lobb.  i really like gnomes but none of these tickled my fancy.  i wanted the jamaican one they had for a while but i guess i waited too long, he was gone when i got back.  :)

hair pic!!!  i did a slanted mini french braid on both the girls.  i left hopp's hair down & q got a low pony with hers...

this is why i left the top pic in too.  hopp's braid is a little dark.  :o)  i love that freckle face q!  she has started getting quite a bit of those lately & i'm sure this summer she will get more since she is going to summer rec. this year.  :o)

day 122: thurs 5/3

dinner at nana & diddy's!  hopp as always having a blast with her diddy!  :o)

q got this mask from santa this year in her stocking & hopp just recently found it in the closet & she wanted to wear it a couple of nights ago.  well fast forward to this night, she didn't have it on when i tucked her in so she must have gotten it & put it on & fell asleep with it on.  usually it ends up in the covers or on top of her head.  i thought this was such a funny site i had to snap the pic. 

day 123: fri 5/4


this is "slobby".  he is our new house mate & current scarer of all!  my mom moved into an apt recently & she has had him forever & she just passed him on to us.  now we all love horror stuff in our house, even hopp, so he was much welcomed!  he holds a bowl so at halloween you can leave him out & he will talk to you as you grab candy.  i can't wait to put him out during trick-or-treating time!!!  anywho, we have been putting him in different places to try & scare each other.  i have been successful with jess, wish i would have had a camera on her, & jason and of course the two littles.  jason has successfully gotten all of us.  :o)  oh & not for sure where hopp got slobby but that is what she called him as soon as she saw him.  i didn't even tell anyone we had him.  she just said, "mommy is slobby real"....



day 124: sat 5/5  happy cinco de mayo!!!


what better way to celebrate cinco de mayo than with a fourth of july tiara!!!  jk, we were at hobb lobb checking out everything & i saw this & had to have hopp model it!  she was more than obliged to help me out.  :o)  can you believe that they have had july 4th stuff out for over a month now?!?



hopp was such a good girl that she got a "prize"!  we saw these rings up by the checkout & for only .99!!!  so i told her to pick one out & she picked the pink one out & said she was going to get one for q!  for .99 i told it was fine so now q & hopp have matching rings.  :o)  look at that cheese!!!  don't you want to just pinch the shit out of her?!?

day 104: sun 4/15 no pic

remember when i bought the pirates of the caribbean opi mini nail polish collection, well i finally used the stranger tides color.  i'm still not for sure about this one.  it has a green tint to it & as much as i love zombies, the color reminded me of what zombies looked like in the movies.  rotting flesh is not really a color i would necessarily want to color my nails.  :)  it would look great if you were going for the camo look.

day 106: tues 4/17

another pinterest to-do is done.  q loves to water the flowers & plants.  i made this, it's a plant water bottle recycled from a milk jug.  only problem i found is that it sucks the bottle together, does that make sense?  anyway i just need to find a place to add an air hole so it doesn't suck so much, no pun intended.  :)  you can find the tutorial here, in case you have questions.  i used a heated steak knife but a heated nail would have been better...

a new hair pic!  i did their hair the same way, one pony on the top & then sectioned it in half like dog ears & then sectioned that in half so they had double ponies.  :)  i love that hopp put her head on q's shoulder in the back photo.  :)

we went to the flea market in b-gap this weekend, it was my first time.  i wasn't too excited about what i saw.  anywho, the weirdest thing we came across was this set of pigeons, they have curly feathers!  so cool, even their feet had curly feathers on them like ugg boots.  :o)  they are called frillback pigeons here is a link on them for better pics, pretty neato huh?

just wanted to share this cute pic of hopp with her baby she insisted on taking with her that we had to go back twice for because she would drop her & forget about her.  :o)  i love this little face!!!

wow...  i can't believe i've gotten this far behind!!!  ok, well here's 3 weeks wrapped into one...

WEEK 13
day 85: sun 3/25

barbie hair, i have to confess, we had lice & i found out that if you occasionally flat iron hair it kills the eggs & lice if you have them.  i also found several ways to combat them from getting in your hair in the first place.  apparently if you soak hair in listerine that kills the lice & also if you add in the listerine to your water bottle it deters lice from coming back.  so far so good, we have been free & clear of lice for almost 3 weeks.  hopefully we will stay away from the lice from now on with our deterents.  any other helpful advice is welcomed.  :o)

day 86: mon 3/26

surprising the barbie hair stayed so she felt extra special with her hair this way!  she doesn't look the same with straight hair but i don't mind doing this on occasion just to make her feel special.  :o)

day 87: tues 3/27

at jump rope practice this day & it was windy so i looked up & took a pic of the flags, i love this one!

day 88: wed 3/28

got my painting up, it looks nice, well as nice as it can look with all those damn plugs behind me.  ;o)

day 89: thurs 3/29

i love pouty pictures!  look at that tear on her cheek :(  i think this was one of the times at jump rope practice that she was throwing a fit & i told her no so we had to leave the gym & sit in the lobby.  isn't this precious?!?  :o)

day 90: fri 3/30

i totally forgot about this pic, so glad i take random pics.  :)  q lined up some of her toys.  from left to right, sparkles, pinky-pie, not for sure the cat's name, a bunny that hopp got for her bday & the lady bug flashlight :o)

first time for q to see the koi fish.  i love this pic, she is just watching them swim.  so sweet, love these moments!!!

not a hair post but look at those shoes!  they are fab-u-lous!  plus she dressed them up with rainbow socks & a tutu & a pink puppy tee!  she was too excited over this outfit & she did it all herself.  :o)

of course hopp had to get her pic taken too, some days she won't but this day she was photogenic.  :o)  she looks so cute in this orange dress & those aqua flip flops :o)

saw this on pinterest & bought it.  you can find them on etsy.  i can't remember the shop name but it's under my hooker board.  :o)

easter sunday & this is what the easter bunny left the girls.  rapunzel & cinderella bubbles for the littles & a hunger games katniss poster for jess.  some gum & a new skip bo jr card game & some assorted boxed candy.  :o)

omg, how sweet is this pic?!?  i can give her little side pony tails & a headband keeps the top strays away. :o)

q likes to get her picture taken too but hopp was saying don't take my picture, oops, too late!  ;)
