day 125: sun 5/6

not for sure if you can see it or not but q got some catalina salad dressing with her lettuce & her face broke out with these nasty red welts.  i was thinking she was allergic to something in the dressing, she has done this with ranch, honey mustard & sometimes ketchup.  she never had trouble breathing or her throat never felt funny so i wasn't too concerned about it being dangerous.  i did some internets searching & found that this is pretty common with little kids & not to be too worried about.  it is just a skin reaction to the vinegar in these condiments.  i think that if she made more of it in her mouth instead of her face this wouldn't happen.  ;)  so anywho, if you ever see this on your kid, it's probably just a skin sensitivity to vinegar.

day 126: mon 5/7

came to work & ms maria gave me a huge bouquet of the cinco de mayo flowers.  she twisted them all together & they are gorgeous!! 

day 127: tues 5/8

isn't this super cute?!?  it's my cupcake car scent holder from bath & body works.  they have all different shapes & colors.  we have a yellow smiley face with a hot pink bow in the magnum.  they clip on your visor or anywhere else you can stick it.  i got the vanilla coconut & it's ok for the magnum but this one was frosted cupcake & it smells just like a yummy vanilla cupcake was baked in my car.  :)

 day 128: wed 5/9

ladybug!  we got ready for school & headed out the door & a little lady was waiting to greet us!  superstition says that anything a ladybug lands on means you are going to get a new one.  so will i be getting a new car?  doubt it but it's always fun to play.  :o)

day 129: thurs 5/10

took q to look for something for her teacher for teacher appreciation day, actually we were supposed to get something everyday but i didn't like the ideas so i figured she would appreciate a big one time gift more.  we saw these flowers & they were stunning.  it was the most unique shade of grey/mauve i have ever seen.  i couldn't stop looking at them, they were so eye-catching! 

day 130: fri 5/11

i had done my nails on sunday & finally got a decent shade of the color.  it's from zoya & it's called marina.  it's a beautiful grey/blue color.

here is the teacher appreciation gift.  a 12pk of dr pepper in the bottles & a gorgeous necklace a friend made.  remember me telling you her fave color is green & she collects crosses?  how perfect is that?  it's so pretty & between the crosses she put pink & black accent beads & it all just popped!  she actually was wearing it the other day when i went to school with q for field day, that will be a full post on its on soon.  :)

day 131: sat 5/12

time to cash in those cans for q!  this is what my magnum looked like when we left the house.  not our biggest load but man, that's a lot of cans.  i have a great group of friends that help q out!  this load was worth $6!!!  :o)

bud light just came out with these lime-a-ritas & they are delish.  i'm a bud light lime gal, well before i was diagnosed with celiac's, but i'm not a margarita girl.  i perfer sweet over sour...  so anywho, they took that whole corona-rita thing & actually made their own thing.  let me just say, this is DELISH!!!  i know i said that in the first sentence but they really are good.  i took a drink just to try it, i didn't drink the whole thing.  this was a 24oz can but they do come in 12oz cans for those of you that don't want to feel like they look like a bum drinking a tall boy.  :o)

day 104: sun 4/15 no pic

remember when i bought the pirates of the caribbean opi mini nail polish collection, well i finally used the stranger tides color.  i'm still not for sure about this one.  it has a green tint to it & as much as i love zombies, the color reminded me of what zombies looked like in the movies.  rotting flesh is not really a color i would necessarily want to color my nails.  :)  it would look great if you were going for the camo look.

day 106: tues 4/17

another pinterest to-do is done.  q loves to water the flowers & plants.  i made this, it's a plant water bottle recycled from a milk jug.  only problem i found is that it sucks the bottle together, does that make sense?  anyway i just need to find a place to add an air hole so it doesn't suck so much, no pun intended.  :)  you can find the tutorial here, in case you have questions.  i used a heated steak knife but a heated nail would have been better...

a new hair pic!  i did their hair the same way, one pony on the top & then sectioned it in half like dog ears & then sectioned that in half so they had double ponies.  :)  i love that hopp put her head on q's shoulder in the back photo.  :)

day 110: sat 4/21

we went to the flea market in b-gap this weekend, it was my first time.  i wasn't too excited about what i saw.  anywho, the weirdest thing we came across was this set of pigeons, they have curly feathers!  so cool, even their feet had curly feathers on them like ugg boots.  :o)  they are called frillback pigeons here is a link on them for better pics, pretty neato huh?

just wanted to share this cute pic of hopp with her baby she insisted on taking with her that we had to go back twice for because she would drop her & forget about her.  :o)  i love this little face!!!

yarnin stuffs & spring fun

yarnin' stuffs:
this weekend i made this really cute & unique scarf that my friend cristal's grandma made for cristal's daughter.  it's so cute, i hope to get it on ravelry as soon as i have permission from her.  i will post pics on it soon!  sorry for the tease.

i wanted to share with you the snake i made for q.  she was begging me to make her a snake.  i started on it a year ago & i kept putting it off & putting it off but i finally finished it.  she loves it!  it took me almost a yr to finish it but i got it done about a month ago.

you can find the pattern here, it's from caron yarns.  she didn't want the red/yellow/black combo so we went with lime green/pink/turq.  it turned out really cute!  i gave it orange button eyes & stuffed it with pony beads & poly fiber.  i alternated a section of each all the way through; a little beads & then a little stuffing.

spring stuffs:
on sunday around 11a i went & had some coffee with my super-wonderful friend claudia, it was so nice to catch up with her after she got back from her trip to san antonio with her 'rockstar' co-worker, really he is a rockstar but i can't divulge who it is, again another tease!  so then after i finished chatting with her i headed over to my mil's house to pick up the girls, they spent the night with nana.  :)  we headed over to michael's to check out some stuff for a little project i want to do with crayons for an easter gift to q's class, but on the way we saw this house that the entire front yard was covered in iris's.  it was stunning & my camera phone didn't capture half the beauty but i tried.  if you live in a-town & want to drive by, it's on the corner of sth 20th & sayles.  the house has always been a bit creepy but was so pretty that day.

every year i get the most beautiful iris's myself but my favorite are my amaryllis flowers!  i luckily inherited them with the house we bought 5 yrs ago & they never need maintenance or watering they just come up like magic! 





i just love how they have 4 huge blooms on one large stalk.  they are white with pink stripes in the middle of the petals.  i really want to take some to work but i usually try to wait till they all bloom but i have noticed that they have several other buds on them ready to bloom soon so i don't want to cut them & then the buds never get a chance to bloom.

sprinkler fun:

it was very warm this weekend & we didn't do much outside on saturday because it was super hot but on sunday it was a little cooler, really i can't feel the difference between high 80s-high 90s it's all so hot!  we use to have a pool but i murdered (yes i said murdered, i took a steak knife to the bottom of the pool all the way around to drain it, the saltwater filter went out so it got nasty) it two years ago & we never replaced it.  i really missed it, we had a saltwater filter & i swear it never got green or dirty.  we had the most beautiful pool!  not only that but the only maintenance you have to do with a saltwater filter is skim it on occasion & change the filters.  it never needs chemicals & your eyes never burn!  your skin feels super soft too!  ok back to the subject at hand; so yesterday i hooked up the sprinkler, let the girls put on their bathing suits & let them have at it.  i don't know what the hell the deal is with sprinklers but hopp will let it splash all in her face, if i dare get water on her face in the bath or shower she wants to KILL me!  :o)  here are the super cute pics of my girlies playing in the sprinkler yesterday.
