366 days of photos week 5

this was a busy week, we pulled out the rapunzel wig, went to nana's, camo day, wear red day...

day 29: sunday 1/29/12

not much happened on sunday, we did sit down & count q's money from her cans for q stash.  she now has a grand total of $52!!!!  it's not much considering we have been doing this for about 8 mths or so but hey it's $52 more than what she started with.  we didn't count the pennies, nickels or dimes because that's just money she has gotten from helping out with stuff & not actual can money.  :)

day 30: monday 1/30/12

look at that sweet face!  it's a hair post.  :o)  it's the mini pony with one of her new bows she got from her bday.  i love how she is posing with her backpack! 

day 31: tuesday 1/31/12 last day of january

let me just say i'm not a huge starbucks fan because they are sooooo over priced but i went with claudia to have coffee there on saturday evening to sit & chat.  i really enjoyed it.  it was nice getting out since we haven't been having our usual craft 'n chat nights.  i digress... anywho, she brought me this super delish drink on tuesday morning.  i fell in love with the salted caramel mocha!!!  this will only be an occasional treat, i'm hoping maybe i can find the recipe on pinterest soon.  :o)  that little coffee is my regular coffee & i sadly couldn't enjoy it because starbucks ruined it for me.  :o)  thanks claudia!  i love you & not just because you brought me a delish drink!

later that evening we pulled out the rapunzel wig that me & daddy got q for her bday.  she was so excited & loved it!!!  she was so funny in it.  let me say it was worth the $13 i paid for it!  it does get tangled, no pun intended, but it's not too bad if you stay on top of it & they don't get too rowdy in it.  :o)

i put it on hopp & it reminded me of ET from behind!  not so much in the pic but you know what i'm talking about right?!?

omg!!!  look at that sweet cheeked baby!!!  she was more than thrilled to wear it!  she looks different with blonde hair but still oh-so-stinkin-cute!!!  :o)

day 32: wednesday 2/1/12

q learned about koalas & she was telling nana about the babies that live in their mommy's pouches.  she was talking about how little they are & they are pink, i think she said they are as big as jelly beans.  :)  they are learning the letter k this week. 

day 33: thursday 2/2/12

this is my boss on camo day.  she went all out!  she was cracking me up.  this is her serious-hunting face...

this is the puppy her boys left the note on him says, "I am a barve army dog"!  omg how cute is that, he meant to spell brave.  are you barve enough to be an army dog?!?  :)

this was the rest of her setup with guns & even a grenade! 

day 34: friday 2/3/12

super bowl squares i put together last minute.  my gm one the first two quarters & then my friend candi won 3rd qtr & then my friend maria's parents won the 4th qtr.  :)

day 35: saturday 2/4/12

we went to the kids sports expo & the girls had a blast!  here is hopp trying the soccer demo out.

they did the bungee run & it was so funny!  they got shot back really fast when they couldn't pull the bungees any farther.  this was with a dental office here in town that i absolutely love & they ended up with t-shirts & about 6 toothbrushes & 3 toothpastes!

after we were done with the expo we decided to check out our local pet store.  we stopped & watched the guinea pigs.  i love guinea pigs but i don't think enough to clean up after them.  :)

well that was week 5.  sorry i'm so behind.  it's been super busy at work.  i will have last week's (week 6) up soon.  i hope you guys have a great rest of the week & HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!

instead of 366 photos, i'm now calling it 366 days of photos because sometimes a day may need more photos!  :)

so here is week 3 for 2012:

day 15: sunday 1/15/12

after church with nana all dressed up

after taking off church clothes, it was time for some outside play time.  i saw her playing with this giant limb from one of our trees, i asked her if she was playing a cello & showed her a pic of what a cello looked like & she said that was what she was doing.  :)  maybe she will be a concert cello player one day.

day 16: monday 1/16/12

play date at the park.  i didn't get to chat with the moms like i had hoped because my sister came down but i love this pic of my nephew.  he is giving amanda hell & i love it.  she is finally paying for her raising with him.  he is so funny!  yep, that's q in the dirt...  where else would she be?  she loves her dirt!  :)

day 17: tuesday 1/17/12

i need to get a better pic but this is what one of my neighbors did for a different take on how to display your house number.  it's really cute when they have them filled with flowers that are bloomed.

day 18: wednesday 1/18/12

got stuck behind a train at lunch.  thought i would take this for my pic for the day. 



a finished baby blanket i did for my husband's aunt, someone at her work is having a bambina so she asked me to make her one.  it's a shell stitch blanket, the usual one i make.



day 19: thursday 1/19/12

my work stamper.  i got this from when i worked at the phone book & i kept it when i moved over to my current job.  this has been a lifesaver on so many occasions when i want to cover my ass.  :)  the example of the stamper is on top of it & it was stamped AUG 10 2005!  i've had this sucker for quite some time.  :o)

day 20: friday 1/20/12

this is my dinero for dawson change jar.  a dear friend of mine has a little boy that turned 2 last august & they found out a couple of months ago that he has high functioning autism.  they are doing the local autism 5k in april & i started up a jar for them.  i think we are going to do a garage sale soon too.  those are always great fundraisers!

day 21: saturday 1/21/12

the morning after q's sleep over we did a couple things with the girls (the pics of the party are to come soon).  all the girls got "tats" on their arms, they loved it & thought they were so grown.  :)  clockwise: q, jess, isabella, katelyn & hopp.  q is holding up a tiny pascal from tangled that was on her cake.

this was a pinterest find, another craft for the morning after, pascal party blowers.  they are the blowers with the design taken off & i cut up foam head shapes & stapled (didn't want to wait for glue to dry) fronts & backs together.  then glued on eyes & "sharpied" on a mouth.  you can find the tutorial here & so many other tangled birthday ideas.  :)

i later went out with some friends from work for roger's (pictured) birthday.  look at this fabulous drink!!!  it's called the fishbowl, as you can see, it's bigger than his head!!!  maria & her sister were sharing it & i couldn't believe it only cost $10!!!  it was pretty tasty, they put a little in my empty rum & coke glass so i could taste it.  not for sure what all is in it, this is what i could remember, blue curacao or whatever it's called, sprite, banana liquor, that's all i remember but it was sweet & fruity.  i think it probably had some pineapple juice in it too.  they should put gummy fish in there. 
just in case you were wondering, it was a plastic bowl, i'm sure for drunk-ass safety reasons.  :)

well, that's it for the week in photos.  i actually did pretty good this week since i had a photo for every single day.  :o)

first 2 days of school

it's been a good 2 mornings.  everyone has been in a good mood, i've gotten up early, well earlier than usual.  i've been successful in our first two lunches for q & i even did hair pretty today.  not that yesterday wasn't, it was just a headband day yesterday.  today i did lots of extra stuff for q.  so here are the pics from the first day...

so i really want to make sure q has cute hair each day & since she doesn't have straight hair we can't do bangs so i always have to have her hair back, either headband, ponytail or whatever.  she always wants it down so i was really trying to find new ways to do her hair.  plain ponytails get boring!  so while on pinterest, btw, if you aren't on pinterest you are really missing out!  this site is absolutely genius!  anything & everything you possibly wanted to learn to do yourself or inspiration ideas to silly stuff is on here!  well, i stumbled upon this site to do little girls hair.  i had q pick out a style, we printed it out & i tried it out last night.  i have done something similar before but thought this was so pretty!  so here is the finished product...

it turned out so pretty!  this is the actually page i got it from.  the site is called hairstyles by mommy.  she has the cutest hairstyles!  i'm definitely going for something new tomorrow!  i've thought i might actually do a hair-a-day post or maybe a weekly post of all her hair through the week would be better.  :)

i also did lil' hopp's hair, she use to go to a home daycare where the lady would put her hair in little ponytails all over.  it looked so cute so after baths i did her hair too. 

i should have gotten a pic of her this am but didn't even think of it till now.  but this is the top/back of her pontytails.  i will take a pick of the front later.  :)

i hope everyone had a great first days at school!  i know some of you started last week so that includes you guys too.  :)
